Audio Texture
The Audio Texture radio show has recently risen from the ashes of the long running Global SoulJah & BBE Records Radio Show – same old presenter, same old eclectic music mix just a different name. Refusing to be pinned down by stylistic restrictions the show could loosely be described as where music of black origin and global grooves meet the techno future but really anything could happen. Have a listen, you might like it.
James Barrie is a long term music industry survivor from running a global mixtape operation with clients like Def Jam and G-Unit to being a founding member of If Music in Soho London with record buying customers like Gilles Peterson, Norman Jay, Jazzanova and Mr. Scruff. Organising parties for Ninja Tune and The Red Bull Music Academy and working with the respected BBE Records as their radio host for three years, James has been there, done it and probably djed at the after party.
Now based in Barcelona where he is developing his music consultancy business, Audio Texture, working with some of Spain’s top brands as an advisor and in-store music co-ordinator, James still finds time to DJ regularly, host the radio show and write a well received blog about the music he loves and discovers.
