In der ersten Show 2011 präsentiert EDs World of Music das erste von zwei Specials über Muti Musik. ‘Muti’ leitet sich von dem Bantu-Wort für Baum ab und dient in ganz Afrika als Beschreibung für Kräutermedizin. Aus dem San Fransisco des frühen 21ten Jahrhunderts firmiert unter diesen Namen ein Stamm Bio-Techno-Futuristen, der ganz fest an die heilende Kraft musikalischer Vibrationen glaubt. Dieser Teil 1 bringt Euch die aktuellen Veröffentlichungen des Labels – unter anderen von Mimosa und Seventh Swami, der zweite Teil wird in das Archiv des Labels mit Musik aus den 1980ern eintauchen. Stell dir Muti als Blade Runner für unabhängige elektronische Musik vor und Du bist auf dem richtigen Weg. (Die Show wird in Englisch moderiert.)
For the first show of the new year, EDs World of Music presents the first of a two part feature on Muti Music . The name ‘Muti’ is taken from the ‘Bantu’ word for ‘tree’ and is used throughout Africa as a term for herbal medicine. Early 21st century San Fransisco has seen the strong emergence of music made by techno organic tribal futurists with their core belief in the holistic value of vibrational frequencies in the form of Muti Music (Medicinal Music). And it is this music which the label of that name seeks to represent and succeeds in doing so most excellently. Part 1 will focus on current and recent releases, part 2 will delve deeper into the labels decade in the making 1980 release catalogue. Think of Muti as the Blade Runner of Modern Independent Music and your getting warm!
