Mother­funk #5 — Ama­lia & Opolopo

Eigent­lich wollte Mijk van Dijk schon im Januar ein Inter­view mit Opo­lopo aus Schwe­den über sein gross­ar­ti­ges Album „Vol­tage Con­trol­led Fee­lings” füh­ren. Doch dann legte Opo­lopo noch ein­mal nach, mit „Art Slave” dem Solo-Album sei­ner Lieb­lings­sän­ge­rin Ama­lia, eben­falls auf dem Mün­che­ner Label Tokyo Dawn Records. Defi­ni­tiv ein Anwär­ter auf den Titel „Funk-Album des Jah­res”. Also ver­ab­re­dete sich Mijk gleich mit bei­den und redete über Funk, New Jack Swing, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Boo­gie down, funksters!
